I will attempt to keep this section of my website up-to-date with resources that I use on a regular basis. In doing so, I hope my website will come to be a useful resource for you.
As a starting point, have a look at this list of songs, grouped according to where they might be used in the liturgical year.
A number of websites that I find useful:
- Bruce Prewer
- Peter Kearney
- David MacGregor
- Leigh Newton
- Dakota Road Music
- Sibelius Software Ltd
- Openbook Publishers
- Lutheran Church of Australia
Useful Print Resources
I've got a huge library of print resources I use... All I have to do now, is narrow down a list of these for inclusion here!

One by one, you call us home
I was pleased that this song was used as the memorial hymn at the SA-NT Convention of the LCA last weekend.
The convention was held at the Tatachilla College at McLaren Vale.
I told several people that, curiously, the song was originally written for the baptism of two children, Simon & Sarah. It was based on a line from John 10 ('the Good Shepherd' chapter): 'one by one he calls his own'. The tune is by English folk singer, Cyril Tawney. Many baptism songs are also excellent songs for funerals & this one, because of its chorus line, is more apt than most.

The rain comes hard and night rolls in,
the sky is black and it's cold within.
And one by one you call us home.
